General core in Liberal Arts and Sciences – 30 semester hours
College coursework: Artistic Expression, Communication, Information Retrieval, Humanities, Language other than English (including ASL), Written Analysis and Expression, Concepts in Historical and Social Sciences, Scientific Process, and Mathematical Processes
Content core – Speech and Language Disabilities – 30 semester hours
Pedagogical core – 21 semester hours
College coursework: Human Development and Learning; Teaching Students with Disabilities & Special Health-Care Needs; Teaching Literacy Skills Methods (3 semester hours); Teaching Literacy Skills (3 semester hours); Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Foundations of Education
Additional pedagogy – Speech and Language Disabilities – 6 semester hours
College coursework: Foundations of Special Education and Assisting SLD students and teachers with teaching and learning of the general education curriculum
College supervised practicum – Speech And Language Disabilities – 150 clock hours
New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Educating All Students Test (EAS)
