Praxis

General Information:

A passing score of 162 is required for:  

• New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology 

• New Jersey Department of Education Certification for the Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) and 

•  American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for the certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) 

While a passing score is not a requirement for graduation, it is recommended that students study for both the comprehensive and the Praxis Examination together. Students will also need their Praxis scores to  earn their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Sending Scores:

• Kean University: 0178 (also submit hard copy to University at the time of submitting SLS certificate application)

• Kean University : 2517

• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association:  5031 

• New Jersey Department of Education: 7666 (*NJDOE automatically receives score once you choose to report your scores after completing the test)

• NJ Audiology/SLP Advisory Committee:  7668 

**Note: If you do not list these places at least three days before the test, you must pay $50 PER recipient after your scores arrive. **
